    Working this Saturday
Well here I am doing my mandatory overtime this Saturday, pounding it out like a trooper. So I decided to get this LJ thing rolling. Have been ignoring it lately due to so many other projects starting up, not the least of which is the tedious sorting of my magic the gathering cards. I own far too many cards and the sorting has been making me want to stab my eyes out, but its a good thing to do cause I will finally be able to find the stuff I want to play.

On a happier note another side project that I am working on, that I am loosly calling We Were Heroes is moving forward quite well. It is a comic book that I am writing that is going to be illustrated by a friend of mine. I have gotten through writing the first six pages and am quite happy with it. I have been wanting to write a comic book for over a decade so it feels good to finally sit down and get some of the work done.

Today's cool link: www.warrenellis.com Now that guy is one hella a comic book writer. Planetary is simply amazing.

    hello out there
Here I am starting a new blog out. I plan for this to be an odd assortment of my poetry, prose, literary critism, life events, random bitching and strange interesting things. To start things out I guess I should give some background on who I am. I am a 29 year old poet living in Austin, TX.

By the name you may have guessed that I am into the Beat Genereation. I consider myself a Ginsbergian scholar, but have also done a lot of reading into Jack Kerouac, William S Burroughs, Gregory Corso and other Beat writers. I like to study Beat from a cultural perspective, that is to say instead of studying Beat literature, I think it should be studied as Beat Culture (this includes the muscians, dancers, visual artists, etc.). All that cerebral stuff aside, I am going to try to just post my thoughts here on live journal.

I also plan to migrate my blog from myspace as I am no longer posting to it.

Well I guess thats about all I have for right now.
